IMPLEMENTASI MODEL PEMBELAJARAN INSIDE OUTSIDE CIRCLE (IOC) PADA PEMBELAJARAN IPS UNTUK MENINGKATKAN HASIL BELAJAR SISWA KELAS VIII B SMP NEGERI 4 MERANGIN

This research is motivated by the low student learning outcomes in social studies
learning. The researcher provides a solution to the Inside Outside Circle (IOC)
learning model that optimizes student learning outcomes so that the Minimum Completeness Criteria (KKM) can be achieved. The research design uses classroom action research. The research was conducted in 2 cycles through cyclical assessment which consisted of 4 stages namely: planning, implementing, observing and reflecting. The instruments used were observation sheets for teacher and student activities as well as test sheets for learning outcomes. The research subjects were class VIII B students of SMP N 4 Merangin, totaling 38 students. The research took place in 2 cycles, each cycle was carried out in 2 meetings (2x45 minutes), pre-test or Cycle I: Indications from 38 students it turned out that only
28.1% (11 students) achieved mastery learning, while 71 students did not complete it. 1% (27 students). Cycle II or after the Inside Outside Circle learning method was carried out 89.5% (34 students), while 10.5%% (4 students) had not completed it. In the affective and psychomotor aspects of students also increased. The conclusion that can be drawn is that the Inside Outside Circle (IOC) model can help make it easier for students to understand the material and improve student learning outcomes in social studies learning.
