This study aims to describe the acquisition of morphology in children aged 3-5 years in terms of acquisition of verbs in Mentawak Village, Nalo Tantan District. Sources of data in this study are children aged 3-5 years. The data in this study are conversations in the form of sentences which are then analyzed to find verb classifications from each child's conversation. Data is taken and collected by recording using a device from a recorder, namely a mobile phone. The approach used is a qualitative approach. The key instrument in this research is the researcher himself. The data collection technique in this study was note-taking and recording which is an advanced method of tapping audio and audio-visual recording techniques as well as field notes. The findings of this study are as follows: Based on the results of the study it was found: (1) Obtaining the morphology of children aged 3-5 years includes the affixation category (2) Of the five morphological formations the dominant verb category is in the affixation category, and children also tend to provide information or something what children think. (3) Sentences that appear in the conversation occur code-mixing phenomenon, between Indonesian and hamlet language (Merangin area). However, it is more dominant that children use Indonesian in interacting with speakers and interlocutors or speech partners.
