KAJIAN EMOSIONAL TOKOH AYAH DALAM FILM “LOVELY MAN” KARYA TEDDY SOERIAATMADJA

Abstract

Emotional in women and men are different. Women are indentical with individuals who always prioritize emotions in responding to problems and more easily express their emotions in accordance with the feelings they experience while men prefer the logic in dealing with problems and can express emotions that are opposed to what they feel. Different again with the emotions shown by transvestites. Emotional can be seen in the character father in the film Lovely Man by teddy soeriaatmadja who plays the role of father and transvestite. This study aims to describe the emotional character of the father in the film Lovely Man by Teddy Soeriaatmadja. Research data in the form of words, phrases and sentences in the transcription of the conversation between the father’s characters and other characters in the Lovely Manfilm by Teddy Soeriaatmadjawhich was releasedon 30 september 2011. Data was collected by documentation techniques and analyzed following the concept of Miles and Huberman.   The result of this study prove the theory of emotions from Najati (2005) and the authors found other emotions namely positive emotions: love and calm and negative emotions: shame and upset.Fatrher’s emotional character is more feminime that is sensitive which is characterized by angry emotions that often arise.
